OL Kory Gough Commits to VT
by Chris Coleman,

The Hokies received their 15th commitment of the 2009 recruiting class on Tuesday when Liberty (Bealeton, VA) offensive lineman Kory Gough chose Virginia Tech.

Tech offensive line coach Curt Newsome watched Gough's game on Friday night, and the Hokies decided to extend a scholarship offer. Gough didn't wait long to decide, selecting Tech over offers from Arkansas, East Carolina, Marshall and Army.

Gough is a 6-6, 262-lbs athletic offensive lineman. He has been timed at a 4.95 in the 40 yard dash. He continues a trend of offensive line recruiting that has been going on in Blacksburg ever since Curt Newsome arrived. The Hokies are signing smaller, more athletic linemen that they can build up in the weight room.

Gough is considered a possible greyshirt candidate, meaning he would not enroll until January of 2010.
