The Virginia Tech football program picked up their second verbal commitment for the 2008 recruiting class on Thursday when Myrtle Beach (SC) linebacker Bruce Taylor announced that he would play football for the Hokies. Taylor is a likely four or five star recruit and is a tremendous pickup for Tech. Taylor chose the Hokies over Florida State and North Carolina, his other two finalists. He had offers from other top programs as well, including Clemson, South Carolina and Georgia.
Taylor joins athlete D.J. Thomas as the first two members of Virginia Tech’s 2008 recruiting class. For more information on one of the highest-touted defensive players to ever commit to the Hokies, stay tuned to TSL. Chris Horne will have quotes from Taylor as soon as he is able to reach him. Click
