Safety Mario Edwards Commits to VT

For the second straight year, Virginia Tech has gone into the state of Georgia and come out with a fine looking defensive back prospect. Today, Mario Edwards, a talented recruit out of Westlake (Atlanta, GA), verbally committed to the Hokies.

"I committed to Virginia Tech today," said Edwards, who becomes the 16th player to commit for the 2006 recruiting class. "On Tuesday, I decided I would commit today. Coach Beamer is supposed to be coming by in a few weeks, but I didn't want to wait until then because they might not have any more room.
