Safety Jimmy Williams of Bethel HS in Hampton Virginia has verbaled to the Hokies, according to Doug Doughty of the Roanoke Times. Williams told Doughty that until recently, Tech was tied with Virginia, until the Cavaliers notified him that they would have to pull his scholarship offer until he had met NCAA eligibility guidelines. Williams has a 2.8 GPA and expects to make the required SAT score soon. Williams reportedly had offers from Tech, UVa, Syracuse, NC State, Michigan, Georgia, and Florida.
