Golden Loves Tech Trip
Terrell Golden took his second and final official visit this
weekend, taking in Virginia Tech. Overall, he was very excited about his trip to Blacksburg.
"It was really fun," said Golden, who is being recruited by offensive coordinator Bryan Stinespring. "I
had a really good time. We had dinner Friday night. Saturday was more of the academic part of the visit and then
Saturday night I took in the Morgan State/Virginia Tech basketball game. On Sunday morning I got to eat breakfast with
Coach Beamer, and we talked about some things."
Golden was hosted on his visit by Tech quarterback Bryan Randall. Throughout the weekend, he felt comfortable with the
entire Hokie team.
"It was awesome getting to meet the players," said Golden. "Bryan Randall was cool. You know you see
these guys on television and then they are there showing you around, and it's like wow. I also met Ernest Wilford,
Marcus Vick, Kevin Jones, Lee Suggs.
"The thing about the Virginia Tech players, is that they don't hang out because they have to, they are more like a
family. They eat together, they do everything together."
Golden didn't commit to the Hokies this weekend, as he plans on taking his time and weighing his options carefully.
"Nah, I don't have a leader," said Golden, who has narrowed his choices down to Tech and Penn State.
"I want to sit down and talk with my parents later in the week. I may have a decision later this week, but I
definitely want one by Christmas."
Virginia Tech is in a good position following an impressive official visit. Golden mentioned several things he likes
about the program following his visit.
"They are trying to open up the offense next year," said Golden. "And the team is more like a family. I
am comfortable there."
Look for a decision possibly later on in the week from one of the East Coast's most talented wide receiver prospects.
