PG Erick Green Commits to VT
by Chris Coleman, TechSideline.com

Virginia Tech received an important basketball commitment from 2009 point guard Erick Green on Friday night. Green is a true point guard who plays for Millbrook in Winchester, VA. He is currently in the middle of his junior season.

Green, who is listed at 6-2, 175, averaged 14.1 points, 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game as a sophomore last season. This year he has increased his scoring output to 19.4 points per game.

Seth Greenberg now has his backcourt of the future set. Green and fellow 2009 commit Ben Boggs, from Hidden Valley in Roanoke, grew up as childhood friends and have played a lot of basketball with each other throughout the years. The Hokies will still be looking to land an inside player for the class of 2009.

Green chose the Hokies over offers from George Mason, James Madison and St. Joseph's, respectively.

We'll have more soon on Green and his commitment in TSL Pass.
