The Virginia Tech Hokies received their second commitment in two days Sunday, when Oviedo High (Oviedo, FL) defensive tackle Dwight Tucker gave the Hokies his verbal. Tucker selected Tech over Tennessee, whom he was supposed to visit next weekend. Tucker decided to forego the UT trip and commit to the Hokies.

Tucker, who is 6-2, 275, is a rarity these days: a Tech recruiting target in Florida. His primary VT recruiter is defensive backs coach Torrian Gray, a Florida native.

Tucker is rated a 2-star recruit by TSL and a 3-star recruit by Rivals.com, which lists him as the #38 defensive tackle in the country. Tucker was also offered a scholarship by Air Force, Army, Duke, Mississippi State, and the Vols.
