Kroger® has been sponsoring Hokie athletics for years and has become a permanent fixture in VT athletics (whenever someone says, "You know what Coach Beamer says" on the message boards, someone else ALWAYS responds with, "Get your tailgate supplies at Kroger®!") Kroger®'s latest TSL ads, the ones that start out with the notation "Local Specials", are very cool -- when you click them, it takes you to a store locator, and once you locate a Kroger® store from the list, it loads your latest weekly specials. You can browse them all, sort them by category, etc. Very cool -- click below to give it a test run.
One of the nation’s top offensive line prospects made his verbal commitment today. Princeton High School (Cincinnati, OH) star Aaron Brown, a 6-6, 285-pound offensive tackle prospect who is rated a 4-star recruit by Rivals.com and Scout.com, selected Virginia Tech over Auburn, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Purdue today at a 2:30 press conference. Brown is a major addition for Virginia Tech, looking to add quality offensive linemen in the 2006 recruiting class. In addition to being rated a 4-star recruit, Brown is also rated as the #8 offensive tackle in the nation by Rivals and the #18 offensive lineman in the nation by Scout. Brown becomes the 10th player to commit for the 2006 recruiting class, and the highest-rated so far. He is the third offensive lineman to commit. The Hokies may take as many as five offensive linemen in the class of 2006. Still on Tech’s board are highly touted prospects Lou Eliades and Alex Stadler. Brown is also the second offensive lineman that Virginia Tech has landed from the state of Ohio, joining offensive tackle prospect Clark Crum.
